Of all the investigations of the strange and unlikely which I undertake in the course of my investigative undertakings, the most dramatic, by far, are those of reported spirit manifestations.

Hauntings, ghostly infestations, ectoplasmic incursions, poltergeistual phenomenalizations--call them what you will--elicit from their "victims" the most intense reactions of any supernatural experiences. (You'd probably have guessed that werewolves would be worse, but, oddly, that turns out not to be the case.)

When people are caught up in the fear of a haunting, help is hard to find. I may be their only place to turn. And so, they turn to me. In this case, I sent the homeowners away and proceeded to SPEND THE NIGHT in the house, in order to assess the veracity of these claims cooly, rationally and scientifically.
